About Shahin Mannan
Shahin Mannan is a Delhi-based luxury Indian fashion label, launched in 2015 by designer Shahin Mannan, who studied knitwear design at NIIFT (Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology), Mohali. The label makes handcrafted designer western wear for men and women — jackets, blazers, shirts, dresses and co-ord sets — alongside Statement Skirts, its take on the lehenga. Every piece is built around an original motif, from bugs, scissors and cutlery to lotuses and wasps, brought to life through embroidery, beadwork and sharp tailoring. Nothing is mass-produced. Shahin Mannan has four stores, in Mehrauli and Khan Market (Delhi), Kala Ghoda (Mumbai) and Banjara Hills (Hyderabad), each open daily from 10:30am, and an online store at shahinmannan.com. Its sister label, Made in Linen, is stocked at the Khan Market store.

The designer
Shahin Mannan studied knitwear design at NIIFT, Mohali, and worked in the industry for over eight years before launching her eponymous label in 2015. Ten years on, the work remains bold, exact and entirely its own.

The making
Every piece is made by hand, by artisans, one at a time. The finish inside a Shahin Mannan piece is the same as the finish outside — seams, linings, closures. Not visible in a photograph. Obvious the moment you put it on.
